Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer Recipe

Posted on by Kristi Youngdahl

It’s that time of year again. A chill is in the air and pumpkin spice aroma is Kristi Youngdayl's Homemade Pumpkin Creamer everywhere. I love to curl up in front of my cozy fireplace and sip on a delicious cup of hot coffee. Even better, sometimes I add a little spice to my cup of joe.

But beware of all those chemical laden coffee creamers and syrups on the market! Don’t fall for the “sugar free” versions either; most are made with artificial ingredients that are worse than what you’ll find in the original. Before you purchase a flavored creamer or syrup (and any other food, for that matter), read the ingredient list. Or, better yet, make your own!

My homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer is all natural and chemical-free. Your body will thank you, and your taste buds too.

Now, go get cozy!

Pumpkin Spice Creamer

1 cup skim milk or coconut milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream (preferably organic)
3 tablespoons all natural pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice 1 teaspoon powdered cinnamon
4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon all natural pure vanilla extract

Whisk together milk, cream, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, cinnamon and maple syrup in a saucepan over medium heat. When mixture begins to steam, remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pour into a glass bottle, and store in the refrigerator.

Enjoy this cold weather treat instead of sugary hot chocolate, and make this the year you don’t put on the extra winter weight.
